One of the key components of Autumn Shift is tracking your nutrition, even just partially. You’ll use a simple app like MyFitnessPal to make sure you’re staying aligned with your personalized calorie, protein, and fibre goals.

Your targets will be created by our Precision Nutrition Certified Coach, who has over 15 years of experience working with clients of all ages and backgrounds.
🧠 Why We Track — Even If You’ve Tried “Intuitive Eating”
We fully support the principles of intuitive eating—but let’s be real. In a world surrounded by hyper-palatable, ultra-convenient foods, relying only on hunger cues can often backfire. These foods are literally designed to make us want more than our bodies need.
Awareness = Power
Tracking—even for a short time—gives you valuable insight into what your typical meals cost in terms of calories, and how close you are to your actual needs for body composition change (whether that’s fat loss or muscle gain).
Apps often set calorie goals too low—especially for active people or those who want to preserve lean muscle while dropping fat. Our approach is more realistic, more sustainable, and more supportive of long-term success.
🍽 You Eat Food, Not Macros—But We’ll Teach You Both
While understanding the macro breakdown of your food (protein, carbs, fat) is helpful, we know most people don’t want to become “macro calculators.” That’s why we teach you how to build real meals that:
✅ Hit your protein goals
✅ Keep you full and energized
✅ Fit within your calorie budget
✅ Allow for some fun and flexibility (yes, even chocolate and your favourite restaurant meal can have a place!)
💪 Why Protein is Your Best Friend
Protein is the most satiating macronutrient. It helps curb cravings, protects muscle while dieting, and supports the hard work you put in at the gym.
General starting targets:
—-Most women should aim for at least 100g of protein/day
—-Most men should aim for at least 150g/day
Already tracking? A good goal is to hit within 20g of your body weight in pounds (or slightly more if you’re lean and lifting). And don’t worry—if you join Autumn Shift, we’ll give you personalized numbers that match your current body, goals, and schedule.
